Re-vaccinating
fish when they have reached a weight of roughly
6 grams does not provide a significant increase
in protection.
Concerning immunisation against Photobacterium
damselae subsp piscicida, the results of
this study show that protection is significantly
increased by using a monovalent vaccine
compared to the trivalent autovaccine normally
used.
Due to the negative results obtained in
the study concerning immunisation against
the two Vibrio species, more in-depth studies
should be carried out on the bacterial strains
to include in the autovaccines.
A book was published with the development
and results of the study
