In addition, thanks to the way the work
was designed, fish farmers can use the data
compiled as basic documentation for subsequently
processing the waste discharge permit.
Conclusions:
The results obtained show that only the
waste products generated by type-III installations
(semi-intensive farming) discharge certain
pollutants into the environment.
Thus, in-depth supervision of certain aspects
should continue. This includes monitoring
the behaviour of wetlands with regards to
the treatment of water from cultivation
before it is discharged. Fine-tuning these
aspects can guarantee the minimization or
elimination of possible pollution in the
waters of sensitive habitats considered
Sites of Community Interest.
As well as studying the behaviour of semi-intensive
facilities located in Sites of Community
Interest in the South-Atlantic region.
